Affirmative Present
Affirmative Present atau Simple Present Tense dalam bentuk positif adalah kalimat yang digunakan untuk menyatakan kebiasaan, aktivitas sehari-hari, fakta umum, kebenaran ilmiah, dan keadaan yang terjadi secara rutin pada masa sekarang.
Kata affirmative berarti positif, yaitu kalimat yang menyatakan bahwa suatu tindakan atau keadaan memang terjadi, bukan menanyakan (interrogative) atau menyangkal (negative).
Fungsi Affirmative Present
Simple Present Tense digunakan untuk:
- Menyatakan kebiasaan sehari-hari.
- Menyatakan fakta umum.
- Menyatakan jadwal atau rutinitas.
- Menyatakan hobi dan kesukaan.
- Menyatakan kebenaran yang berlaku umum.
Contoh:
- I go to school every day.
- She studies English every afternoon.
- The sun rises in the east.
- They play football on Sundays.
Rumus Affirmative Present
1. Untuk Subject I, You, We, They
Subject + Verb 1 + Object/Complement
Contoh:
- I read books.
- You play basketball.
- We study together.
- They visit their grandmother.
2. Untuk Subject He, She, It
Subject + Verb 1 + s/es + Object/Complement
Contoh:
- He reads books.
- She plays basketball.
- It eats fish.
Aturan Penambahan S dan ES
Menambahkan -s
Pada sebagian besar kata kerja.
